Configuring Personal Ring Groups and Multi-Device Groups
(Mitel Integrated Configuration Wizard)

This page allows you to assign a user's devices to a Personal Ring Group (PRG), or to one of the two types of Multi-device User Groups (MdUG): standard and External Twin.

To qualify for grouping, the user must have two or more phones (Extension, Teleworker, Dynamic Extension 1, or Dynamic Extension 2).

An External Twin group is limited to two devices, an Extension and a Dynamic Extension (i.e., an External Hot Desk User). The Extension must be an IP or SIP device. Analog devices are not supported.

The pilot number of the group is set to the prime contact number specified in the User Information page. To change the prime contact for a user, you must go to the User Information page and change it there.

NOTE: All the user's devices are automatically included in the PRG or MdUG. If you want to exclude any, you can do so with the MiVoice Business System Administration Tool after applying the configuration.

To group a user's devices:

  1. Select Configure Personal Ring Groups and Multi-device User Groups.

  2. (Optional) Enter a Last Name and First Name if not already specified.
Names are required for users with Speech Auto-Attendant service.

  3. Select the Group Type.

  1. Click Next to continue.

All PRGs created have the "One Busy, All Busy" option in the Personal Ring Groups form set to Yes.
